As a community what can we do about hackers?

Recommended Posts

I know the game has issues that make hacking pretty easy and with code changes they can be reduced however it might be a little bit of time for those changes. What can we do as a community to make this better. We know there are more honest players than people scripting and maybe we could come up with a way to make this better on our own.

So what tools do we have or what actions can we take to make this problem better? Think creative, think out of the box.

I did spend a couple hours with some "honest" hackers (well they did not do any thing bad when I was with them) and they seemed to know when hackers came on to the server. Anyone on how they could tell?

I don't care if you're an "honest" hacker or a dickfart hacker. You're cheating. Sadly, there's nothing as a community we can do about it except try to ignore it and continue playtesting. Children crave attention, so give it time.

Post names, time/date/server. So server owners can ban said players? I don't have any idea how servers work.

Honestly, just leave the server if you see one. Friendly hacker or non. And btw people who cry about thunderdome are the ones who dont log as soon as it happens. If you log you'll still have your gear but you might be someplace else on the map.

There are plenty of server admins taking a proactive stance on hacking on their servers, with the help of the new script files from Dwarden, the process is getting better.

Server admins who want to get involved should check the link in my sig.

Counter Strike does come out today, maybe that will help too.
