Having problems installing DayZ

Why hello there,

When I first saw this amazing mod I knew that I just had to play it, so I went and downloaded ArmA 2 Free and bought ArmA 2:OA (SHould've bought CO over Steam though...) and then went on trying to get the mod working. Here's what happened:

I first tried using this guide: http://goo.gl/cVB4h, which did not work because Six-Updater wouldn't find my arma2.exe and so on. I later got it to work better, but still couldn't join any servers.

I then tried some other guides which included some other launchers, but I keep getting "Connection Failed", "Files not signed by a key accepted by this server" or "You can not edit/play this mission...".

I've had so many different problems, so I just purged all evidence of Arma 2 off my computer and tried installing everything again, but instead following this guide: http://goo.gl/667q0.

I followed every step and did everything it said, but still the mod won't work. I also suspect that I have some older version interface when connecting to servers.

Well, any ideas about how I should solve at least one of these problems?

What version are you using, I know it was patched at some point.

Are you running the Arma2 CO launcher.

Someone knows the answer, I'm sure.

If you mean which version of ArmA 2:OA I'm running the latest patch, the beta which was needed for one of the launchers to work properly.

I have tried Six-Updater, Spirited Machine's launcher, the DayZ updater and some more launchers.

EDIT: Okay, so I downloaded and installed the mod with Six-Updater, even though it is extremely slow from time to time. It seems to find the right files and games, as it says I'm running ArmA 2:OA (CO).

But when I try to join servers it says all the files in my /Expansions/beta/Addons folder aren't accepted by this server.

When I try to delete them (Except /Expansions/beta/Dta/core.pbo, which will make the game krasch if gone) it just says that:

- I cant edit/play the selected mission, because some file is missing,

- Or that the file core.pbo isn't accepted.

- I simply get kicked, or can't connect to the host.
