You can do it but it's unsupported an may not work forever/as intended. However if it means you can play now then gd for you. ArmA II is in itself a great game so if you read this wondering whether to purchase combined ops or just operation arrowhead, I say go the extra 5 or 10 quid and get to enjoy the game that made this mod possible.

not if they intend to bring it as its own game. then everybody would have to pay double (even if people bought arma2 arent even interessted in arma itself just in dayZ. i bought arma2 just because of dayz so i hope they wont charge us again because than arma2 would just be a "placeholder" in my steam accound because i dont like military simulations. but dayZ rocks and rocket rocks and bohemia rocks too so pls make this a good mod.
