Is there any way I can bind my mouse buttons to move / strafe left and right?

I have had a strange setup ever since i started gaming online.

I have:

A = Forward

Z = Back

Middle Mouse = Move left

Right Mouse = Move right

In DayZ it won't let me have this setup, it's overiding when I change it in the game controls.

Is there anyway I can make this work? Manually changing it in the cfg or something? Any help would be appreciated!

How-- What-- Eh.. I don't even know.

There should be buttons like "Left Mouse Button" or "LMB" in the settings. After you bind those, click OK/Apply and OK again. Don't just spam ESC to go back.

I have used this setup online since Quake 1 and had it ever since.

OP I have no fucking idea how you play like that.

If you still haven't got binds sorted when I wake up I'll help you out but really you should just be able to change them. Try harder?

Shift the zoom and fire buttons to another key and then try.

I tried shifting the zoom, but it's still zooming.. :|

I use mouse1 to shoot btw.
