Edit: To all the people getting angry for no reason - Being a bandit is PART OF THE GAME. Just like cops and robbers. If there wasn't bandits what would you do? get a sniper rifle and sit in the middle of the woods for weeks looking at it? hahah

Nope, I really don't mind bandits. Bandits being players who kill other players for their loot or any other reason that it might benefit them.

What you're talking about, killing players just to... well, kill players, is griefing... You don't gain anything, you just do it to cause grief and brag about how many murders you have and how much of a baws you are.

Bandits are meant to have a modicum of respect - Ever heard of the phrase, "Honour among Theives"? As a bandit (and I can't be such a bad one as I'm currently on day 41) who I'd consider myself practically geared for any scenario, I never pick on "easy" or "Cheap" kills. Why? It's a waste of ammo, and a waste of time. Why murder someone who's got nothing for you to gain? Make the game a challenge for yourself, and kill something that's a challenge.

Brainless much? Bandits don't hang around Elektro killing fresh spawns. That's for griefers that belong on Battlefield, but aren't good enough so they shoot unarmed/hatchet dudes in DayZ.

what no one seems to talk about is that everybody becomes bandits when they finally find some friends to group up with in the game. Once you make a crew, isnt your motto "kill whoever isnt in the current little crew." And doesn't that make you a "bandit." Im not a bandit, i try and make friends to form a crew to find vehicles n such. And lol at the second part of your post... I love the way that's literally all any asshat like you can say... I'm pretty much at end-game minus vehicles the whole time and I play solo, without tents, lol. This game isn't hard, even without player killing.

I think they're both actually phrases which makes them pretty meaningless TBH, lol.

Dude, I hope you realize there is a difference between being a bandit and being a murderer. I agree with mZLY, going to the coast and wasting the freshies that spawn doesn't make you a bandit unless you are stocking up on flashlights, bandages, and pain pills to supply an army. Thats like someone trying to start a foot race with someone whos trying to tie thier shoes. How about analyze the words bandit and murderer before you go calling yourself one or the other. I'd throw an Inigo Montoya meme at you, but I don't think it would help prove the point anymore than this paragraph.
