Starving to death!

I am in the far north of the map and ran out of food, unable to find more i have started to loose blood and starve to death, so i logged out will anything bad happen while i wait for rescue from a friend? basicaly will i continue to to loose blood when im not in game?

Well considering the game almost got me killed earlier i think i have the right to do it just this once.

Learn to hunt. Food is no problem once you know how to do this. Food is way too easy to come by in this game.

In the future make sure you have an axe for collecting wood, a hunting knife to gut animals, and matches so you can light the fire to cook your food. I never head to far out away from towns to do supply raids on until I find those and once I do avoid main towns altogether. Best of luck to you in the future.

Can't say I understand this logic. The OP is not Alt-F4ing, just waiting for a chance to co-op with his buddy when they can both get online together so he can get some help.

Sure it's a bit of an exploit, but no worse than players who call 'medic' on the forums (offline), and surely it's a logical extension of meeting up with real life buddies on a safety-in-co-op basis.

I for one feel the game would be far better if you couldn't (reliably at least) meet up with IRL players to cover each others' backs, roll in a massive group etc. A mechanism where you are assigned a random server within a predefined tolerable ping range would be amazing. You would then have to cooperate more with random folk in game and the milk of human kindness would flow much more freely. This is unlikely to happen however, so OP's doing nothing wrong.

Theres a medic thread in the survivers sub-forum. They may for frown upon giving food (they are medical proffessionals after all lol) but im sure they will help out and meet you on your server, you just log in when he anounces he's at your location to avoid unneccessary waiting/bleeding.

With the amount food and options available. finding food yourself should be easy enough!
