Berezino not all its cracked up to be...

Finally got up there. Got alice pack and hunting and navigating gear, PDW from the military tents, lee enfield, CZ 550, and meds. Got an AKM in the airstrip to the north. As good of a haul as Cherno or Elektro would produce, and much less risk. Did have some artifacting, but a good flush and some camera work made it fine.

I don't mind Berenzino, it's alright to me. I don't get the artifacts often like most people, not sure why, but when I loot any place that has them I tend to be the eyes for my friends and they follow my directions.

The players that I have seen are just there for supplies (been lucky) and even the bandits tend to be more tame up that way. Less town sniping is also a nice thing!

Last time I hit the hospital we found 4 medical boxes full of supplies, there was more than we could carry!

1) Graphics glitches galore, mainly the tents and center of town

2) I have had terrible luck with loot every time even in tents.

3) I experienced a weird bug with my winchester I got there where it was drawing in zombitches from all over the town.

I think Berezino is officially haunted.

My last 6 or so deer stand visits has netted nothing of use to me. No ammo for my current weapons, just shotgun shells, chemlights, empty cans and the occasional Makarov mag. Where are all the AKMs when you need one?

Berezino is actually my choice of loot aswell, normally i gear up for the trek up there (Food, water, whatever weapons i can carry) and normally ditch what i had from the loot spawns then hit the airfield to the north west and then head directly west from there. Quite a nice run and not many people on the road i travel either.

I've had experience of running into players there but it was only once and we played nice and went different ways.

Only thing i'm starting to dislike is running around on my own, i need a companion.

Personally, the only thing I feel Berezino is good for is a very discreet refuelling station and medical supplies / vehicle parts. There are 5-7 low-medium yield industrial spawns VERY close to each other. The whole town is just way too spread out for my tastes.

Ah, Beh.. rheeeeee... zzino... Yes, you can probably live there. Last time I was there, though, I found Mountain Dew, and only minutes after I heard a chopper. It immediately found me, even though I hid pretty well. It started shooting at me, but I defended myself well, so it went away, landed nearby, unloades some fellows who immediately started laying down cover fire (great job). Then a player (hacking, ghosting, cheater) spawned in front of me and shot me while I tried to escape. Also, Berezino is where I lost mah bike. My pretty, green, old bike. Even further, Berezino is where I thought I was safe, back into the tree-line, when somebody ran right up to me and cracked a M1911 right into my head and I instantly died.

I've actually had better luck in Cherno.

Conclusion: Don't go to Berezino.

Edit. Further reasons: Sure, it's not easy getting an overview into the city, but on almost every side of it there are big open fields. While you could get lucky,l and the sniper isn't in your part of the city (it's very long), you can never really be safe.

Another, last, reason to not go to Berezino: It's the place everybody assumes is empty, so everybody goes there... Meaning it's not really that safe after all.
