Need A quick question answered

I recently posted on here about purchasing the game or not and I decided I was going to buy the game. After telling my friend this he said I shouldn't buy the game because it is extremely hard to install and you have to wait 20-30 min each time you sign on to start playing.

I just wanted to know if the 20-30 min wait is just his connection/computer or if it is for all players, and I also wanted to know how hard it is to install.

it all depends on the server there are a bunch of servers that do take awhile to connect to tho normally its about your Ping to that server if u have a releitvly low number ping like 60 you should be in, in no time however if you have a ping around 190 expect a bit of a wait, also has to do with the server's speed itself if the servers slow, its gunna be slow to connect. theres no real way to tell you just gotta join and see ill be happy to show you the ropes once you get the game :D

ok first off, Dayz is a mod of a game called ARMA2

you have to buy ARMA2 combined operations, on sale for 29$ i think, then you download and install the FREE DAYZ mod

you shouldnt wait 20mins for a server, if it doesnt happen in 5min, move on.

Personally, I find larger servers have longer wait times on loading for me, but I've never experienced a 30 minute loading--usually if I'm not in within 15 at the most, it's because my game has crashed or that server isn't working properly.
