High ping playable?

Recommended Posts

What is the highest playable ping to you guys? Currently I'm limited to 5 servers (only local ones) and only 2 have a decent amount of players. The one is "noob" friendly with the range added, etc, so i avoid that one. Which leaves me with one that still has CH enabled but no free rangefinders, this one usually has less players than the other.

If i want to play on other servers I'm looking at pings of 150-250, you guys think its playable at all? What ping do you guys usually play with?. I tried once playing with a 250-300 ping and died to nothing..

I play with around 200 completely fine, unless you are just running around like a spastic you are generally safe from stuff, and if theres a sniper looking around you are probably dead anyway.

DayZ is very client side focussed so ping isn't as big of an issue as it is in most other games, I can play on US servers perfectly fine, 200-250 ping.

ping isn't that important so a high ping up to 250 is relatively ok

rather look at whats your "bandwith" and "desync" is

do that by pressing "P" and click on your name

High bandwith good

High desync bad

I can play on any servers except Australian servers from Norway. Local northern europe and russian servers have a ping of about 50 for me, and US servers have pings between 150-200 for me. Only increases my loading time slightly.
