gambles 234 Posted August 18, 2012 After a lot of bugs and telling people it's alpha this is the one bug that may make me give it in on DayZ.When you load in and it says "Gambles has died" then I'm in what appears like the debug plains, with absolutely nothing. For dupers this may be a slight set back but as someone who trys to play by the rules this is just awful. It's by far worse then broken bone first hit, graphic glitch, all of it. It takes away everything without even giving you the adrenaline rush of being hunted by a bandit, or the chance to escape from a scripter. It's just a reset of everything you have achieved in that period for no other eason than buggyness :(Le Sigh!

SystemiK 366 Posted August 18, 2012 Since 1.7.2.4 you should just be able to leave the server and re-join. You should spawn on a beach with all your gear. At least this is how it normally works, you may have become the victim of a bug. If you don't have thick enough skin to suffer a few major setbacks, maybe you should give DayZ a rest and come back to it after it is released, hell, it will probably get even worse before it gets better but still worth the frustration in my opinion... gambles 234 Posted August 18, 2012 Duping isn't against the rules.Maybe not yours but some people prefer to play a challenging game, there for make rules such as "I will not exploit the game and ruin it". Should try it, sometime :).
HighPiez 59 Posted August 18, 2012 Duping isn't against the rules. With that said, they should just remove the tents. Fuck people who duped and those who claim they worked "hard" for it, even if they worked for it, it still duped and 90% chance they took it.

Thick skin is one thing but no progress is another. And as for quitting and coming back after release, I thought that is what I pretty much said in the original post ya know "the bug that may make me quit" yeaaaahh that one. Lysander_of_Sparta 43 Posted August 19, 2012 Duping isn't against the rules.Uhhh.. Yes it is, genius. It's an exploit, just like alt f4ing or bandits shooting each other and patching up to get hero skin.

You died wherever on the map you were actually at so if you manage to join that server try and make it back to where you last logged your body will be there with all of your gear. Took me about an hour to get back north to where I had logged out but that's why I always write down either my coordinates or landmarks. Hopefully you write down server names if you tend to play on multiple ones. Hope this helps anyone who has had this happen. Best of luck guys Edited August 19, 2012 by Corpselooter

Thankfully, I realized that your body stays where it was when you were last playing, so the only thing you'll lose is your skin.
