Map Markers

Whats the score with the markers? I put them on the map and when I return they are missing, is someone else capable of removing them off my map?

In case no one knows how to do this: Double click anywhere, up and down cursor arrows for different icon, then Shift+arrows for different colour.

i always thought they were server side but i think you can remove others pins

In Arma pins can be removed by anyone. I guess DayZ has no change regarding this.
