sharing suggestions for standalone?

Recommended Posts

I was watching rockets interviews and got these toughts, they could be known ideas already but just a tought...

You should spawn random around the map, before spawn you could choose from differend items(bandages, flashlight, drink, food etc), so everyone wont spawn with the same items just with what you would take when you left home or what ever when the shit went down. (could make killing for those items) then should these be made that they cant be looted from fresh player...but player having them could share them..

Everyone could choose "former" job, that you can use in future as a skill.. like if you were car mechanic you could repair car.. not everyone could repair an engine, someone was a doctor.. not everyone could fix broken leg properly, huntsman.. more food when gutting animal etc..

Make weapons much rarer, in the mod its was so easy to find a gun.. IMO when the world ends the guns wont be in piles at grosery store same with ammo... its everywhere now soyou dont have to think if someone is worth a bullet. Specially the military grade stuff way too common..

Also there could be differend stores, like one mentioned before to get food and regular suplies then a gun store to get MAYBE some hunting rifle, bow etc if you are lucky.. camping gear. Whole maps (rare), and parts of them(torn up, dirty) at gas stations etc to compile one when you get all/your group finds them.

If there would be a crashed heli type of thing it should be much more rarer than now and much lower drop rate.

Getting "epic" gear should be made so hard... it could mean that there would be much more trading and stuff. And maybe the pvp will go with "clans/groups"... "gang wars" ^^

And you should stick with the group when you have decent gear for protection that you wont loose it so easy. Sure lonewolfes/bandit groups could still survive sneaking, hiding.. taking down lonely well geared group members etc.

You should be able to collect same kind of clothing or part of it for your group that you an identify a member, specially at firefight to avoid FF... These could be also stolen so you could discuise and if lucky raid a camp(map markings) or so, if the group doesnt check names or have some other mean of identification.

Zombies are way too easy at the moment, you can run through a city and leave them to a barn or something, but I bet this will be way differend at standalone... waiting for that!

Would be nice if you really had to use those cans and whiskey bottles to distract the brain eaters. And if one is agroed should near by zeds too agro, would make you think your steps twise. Sure these things would reguire zombies to be less buggy and so on, just general tought..

Weapon damages, realism game and takes 2-3 m24 torso hits to kill?

Same with many weapons like 5 or more shots with a pistol? Well placed shot could take down once... not only the head. We are no superheroes and one bandage wont fix a bullet hole in your chest (job for a doc to remove the bullet fracments if not clean through and fix it up etc?)..

Just toughts.. good night :P

Again, not my native language and errors will occur.

Standalone should fix the duping/spawning guns using hacks, there are also plans to implement a weapon degradation system which should combat gun inflation, once this happens I think you will find a lot of the stuff pretty rare already.
