So I picked up a map recently and noticed it had some spots marked out on it. I made some of my own, but when I logged in this morning, I noticed that the marks were gone. Are markers server wide or just for your map?

Why I really want to know is if me marking my camp down last night led to it being empty this morning.

its server wide, and they get wiped after a reset, somehow i think after a few hours (dont know how many tho), tho aint sure at all about the last part..

It really depends on what kind of server you are on. Recruit servers will actually show you on the map and anyone else within a certain range, Reg servers will show locations that other people have marked, Veteran/Expert Servers will only show what you have marked!

the marks are channel specific.

if you are in direct chat only those in the immediate vicinity of you will have the mark on their map.

side channel, everyone can see it, same with global.

vehicle, only those in your vehicle can see it etc.

marks are server specific and can be deleted by anyone who has it on their map, they are also wiped clean by server restarts.

Yea, and this is caused by everyone being in BLUFOR (thus technically being in the same team).
