Car Question

So I've heard of cars disappearing and I'm wondering if this is caused by the server or by people actually stealing them while you're offline.

I stashed my UAZ far far into the forest and clicked "save" in the menu, is there anything else I can do to minimize the risk of the car disappearing?

As long as you're on a stable, well maintained server and you're saving your vehicle often you shouldn't have any issues with it disappearing. We've lost several choppers to server issues but we've never once lost a fully repaired vehicle.
