NVG Frustration

I have playing this game since June, and I have NEVER seen NVGs spawn... I have looted the barracks at the NW airfield countless times, including right after server restarts (in an effort to be the first one there). I've looted hundreds of Crashed Heli sites, also to no avail. I'm starting to wonder about the DayZ DB's and the DayZ Wiki's accuracy regarding the spawn rate of these items. Now, I HAVE had a pair ONE time. I found it by happenstance in a tent in the middle/southern part of the map. But, other than that, I can't seem to find them. I am totally frustated, I can and have found pretty much every other item in the game... (Save the Mt. Dew)

Oh well, this was mostly just a rant. Feel free to comment if you're so inclined.

Heli crashes are where i found mine, twice, i mean really look about the crash site cos sometimes they will be underneath the chopper...

Don't worry, i have been playing for months too, and i never ever find good loot, like NVG's cool scoped guns, and i also have looted shitloads of barracs deerstands and crashed helicopters.

I just think i'm unlucky, the whole community walks around with big backpacks, the whole toolbelt full, 2 main scoped weapons and a tent camp the Roma's would be jelous to.

I can't pitch a tent gave up on it weeks ago, i can't find no vehicles, even with running a maraton each night.

But still i'm not complaining, i manage to survive and have some fun.

I've only ever got NVGs off people I killed. I wandered across a pair in a random tent but usually you'll find them on a sniper outside elektro or cherno... Never found one as actual loot...

I found a pair at a heli crash site in 1.7.2.4 just before the new update, so they are there, i guess they are rare, but nothing in hundreds of heli sites sounds like extreme bad luck or a bit of exaggeration ;)

Barrack, heli crash sites and ALSO THE PILOT ZOMBIES at crash sites drop them
