Garam 0 Posted August 18, 2012 At people saying it's an Alpha, yeah you are right, it's an Alpha, but no, it's not a good idea to consider it as one, because DayZ popularity will decrease rapidly and the fanbase will get smaller and smaller, hurting the future of DayZ standalone, I personally dont give a fuck about bugs, but the number one priority is finding a solution about hackers, 75% of the DayZ sessions I played in the last 2 weeks were ruined by hackers, generally mass teleporting, or just killed, and now I discovered they can teleport you so far in the ocean you have to waste an hour to get back on the coast, thats just amazing. Lots of people will just leave, and never check anything related to DayZ again, so yeah, it's an Alpha, but it is now that this game has the chance to become huge, and it's ruined by script kiddies, it's depressing, I never gave a fuck about hackers on the video games I played, but seing them kill one of the best ideas / video game I've seen, makes me so fucking angry
herrjon 478 Posted August 18, 2012 (edited) Doesn't take much skill no, not in every situation. Does it matter? Did you know paraplegics and even quadriplegics play games? (and everone in between). Further, what about the effort in trying to achieve that?I just got a CZ50 for the first time and was going to just try it out and got killed with the entire server. You want me to laugh that off? You want me to laugh off only playing for a half hour the other night when i was trying to play for 5? Servers i was on got mass killed 12 times over the weekend, i didn't do shit. Laugh it off?Unlike the script users im not a ignorant of others. I think about all the other players who were just trying to have fun when that happens and it pisses me off. When your older you also realize how ugly that tendency to fuck with another person. To do that to one person is bad enough, to do it to 47 people......thats Colorado shooter ignorance.Like Adam Carolla pointed out, kids are essentially "little retarded people". (no offense to the mentally disabled intended.)It seems you're playing on the wrong servers. Until you do find one that is relatively hack free, I wouldn't get attached to your stuff, or your stats. And even when you do find one I wouldn't. And most hacks/scripts involving teleporting and what not can be dealt with by logging out and logging back in on a low pop. Falling you just do it at the right time. Get stuck out in the ocean, start the game, exit while loading, congrats, you're on the beach. They can be dealt with fairly easily, if people actually did this and stopped QQing about it, hackers would stop wanting to hack as much.I recently got a CZ 550 as well, 2nd sniper rifle I had ever found all game. I was wanting to try it out and use it as well, but while playing around with it, one of the backpack glitches deleted it. Did I rage and complain? No. I had a good laugh at the situation and moved on, looking for another. I'm not expecting you to laugh at it, but understand that you need to adapt and adjust to a situation, not complain about it. That's survival. If you are really itching to fire a sniper rifle, you have ARMA II, go on there and fire all the rifles you want. Edited August 18, 2012 by HerrJon
PoisonedAl 128 Posted August 18, 2012 On every server out of 7 I played lately was the same story: spawn, play no longer than 30 minutes, killed by cheater.they spawn helis, cars, change weather, walk invisible then get bored and kill all players server.they have no imagination - simple instant kill.even on a server with 5 players only there was one cheater )Oh really? We hadn't noticed until you pointed it out! Thank you for making ANOTHER topic about it you stupid, whiny POS!
Traveler (DayZ) 27 Posted August 18, 2012 @PoisonedAl: Your comment wasn't very constructive or useful, tell me about that...But as HerrJon put it, find ways to cope with the situation. I haven't been hacked so often...happened a few times, but really, if the server-admin is vigilant, this should happen less. Last time there were 2 hackers, but only because there was a guy livestreaming on twitch and people thought it funny to streamsnipe him (and the entire server). The admin contacted him about that..."one does not simply show what server you are streaming on" ...the whole server had to be restarted. ;-)Usually the "invisible" cheaters are just your good ol' Ghillie-Snipers in the nearby bushes, I want to point this out, too. I recently got shot on a server with 9 people on it, 3 of whom were in my TS channel. I was running through the woods in the middleof absolutely nowhere and got DMR-sniped. This just happens. Thats up to you. "Complaining" and communication can get a lot done and in a nuclear age, its is what will and must prevent everything from nuclear war to our farm animals being tortured as standard practice to preventing some idiot from shooting up rooms full of innocent people. All your advice about logging off at the right time is very helpful, but doesn't really solve every situation or the loading times. Last night i just dropped dead and heard what must have been a 12 year old talking about shooting people in the face and he hardly sounded like he was getting much enjoyment out of it. Almost all "evil" has its roots in ignorance. These threads help because they can help some of the hackers who read it understand what they're doing to the living breathing people behind the Avatars. I do not and will not be laughing it off when servers are nuked, which is essentially some kid overturning the monopoly boards of up to 50 people at the press of a button. If you think people are even capable of laughing it off every time, i'm guessing your a little young, its just not how people are, especially older people who are more likely to not have as much fun starting over since its not all new and shiny to them, some have played games for ages."Thats survival". No, its a game, where people [try] and have fun and don't always succeed making the exploits of server nukers even worse. Its about fun and calling it anything else is being semantical. Adapting to the problem in my case is taking away the fun. Let me do some simple math for you. I love using high population servers far more than low. +1 Adaption: don't use high pop servers. -1. Thank you for making ANOTHER topic about it you stupid, whiny POS!You understand that some people will be affected more than others right? You not so much apparently. Different play styles and mindsets will make a difference too.
Utes 2 Posted August 18, 2012 Well do you expect the hackers to be dealt with in one day or what is the point of this thread?

ZekkCC (DayZ) 51 Posted August 19, 2012 I can't even imagine if I took this game more seriously. The hackers would be unbelievably annoying. :\
opiumpot 0 Posted August 21, 2012 No, they're not. Not like this. I've been gaming online since Rainbow Six and i've never seen anything remotely like this.I will agree on this completely. Been playing multiplayer games since warcraft and quake 1 days. While cheating can be found in every game it's usually nowadays rare even in very popular games since the inclusion of anticheat systems such as punkbuster. Cheating in this game however is completely rampant. I have to ban 1-2 people every hour on my server because of teleporting, spawning cars, nuking players, etc. Battleeye is a POS anticheat system. I really hope they go with something else for the stand-alone cause the mass-cheating is seriously destroying this otherwise great game.
DazTroyer 227 Posted August 21, 2012 I was killed through a wall once in a fortnight of playing, nothing else. Guess you must of been unlucky.
