when you respawn

It wouldn't have to be on the coast. They could pick a town thats on the complete other side of the map

It's an idea :P It doesn't have to be implemented the way I said it. I'm sure they could find a better way. I'm just saying it could help. Hell, they could just lead you to a hatchet instead of a gun.

You're a random survivor in the apocalypse. As much as I like a lot of aspects of this game, a lot of it you just simply would not be able to do. You wouldn't be able to know where a gun is right off the bat after waking up confused on the coast.

Counter point: if you where a resident of said area, it stand to reason you would and if you didn't once you get your hands on a map, you can sit there and look over it going " damn, I need a gun, well there is a military base, I bet theres guns there "
