Spawned on coast (once agian)

spawned on the coast today. thought i was just going to have to make the usual run back to camp but what would you know. this time the game decides it wants to f*ck me with no lube. it takes all of my gear. leaves me with absolutley nothing, no bandage, no backpack, nothing. This needs to be addressed ASAP since it is a game ruiner

While your 'Spawning with no loot' is something i haven't heard of before, i have to add my experience to this also :(

When i discovered the beach spawning events that started to happen to people, and myself, i started to quit out of the game properly, IE, ESC - Abort, Quit game as per normal instead of a quick alt f4 to skip the bs logout crap. But now i have started to use the actual logout // do it normal mode, i'm still getting punished?

Why are legitiment players getting teleported back to the coast for logging out the 'normal' way? I just really can't be bothered to put the effort in anymore, wheres the enjoyment in a running simulator everytime i login?

You spawn on the beach when you manually close the game during a stuck loading screen. To fix this, you have to run two Armas at the same time, and kill the one stuck at the loading screen.

It has nothing to do with logging out.

Protip: Pay attention to server names. You are on either 1.7.2.4 or 1.7.2.5 and you are trying to join a server with the opposite, you get stuck at loading, leave, and tada, now you're on the coast. Without fail. If you can't read just type your version number into the filter.

now you understand the word Alpha. There is a reason this game is in eternal alpha and it's because it is developed by ONE guy. So, enjoy the bugs, don't get too attached to your stuff and find others to hunt for gear. No point in going anywhere BUT Cherno and Electro.

not true at all. I have closed the game MANY times without being respawned to the shore line before the loading screen was done.

No the most likely cause is an older server or one that does not communicate with the main hive, his coordinates are not stored in a DB and most likely neither is his gear.

Stop playing on older and out of date servers.

I swapped to another server (same version) without alt+F4ing, I spawned not on the coast, but inside that infamous building in Novy Sobor. I died there, stuck. Lost my M24, M4A1 CCO SD, rangefinder, NVGs, full toolbelt, etc., and my body was underground so I couldn't loot it when I walked back.

Died to a bug within a bug. :(

hey that applies to hackers too, just noticed!

but oh how we jump on hacker's necks when they do that, except right around the corner our very beloved dev just stripped us of our hard earned gear again... due to an alpha bug.

2 points here.

1.) You are testing an alpha. Even tho it is fun testing, you need to remember you are testing not playing.

2.) This has happen to me also. Instead of pouting and shouting, I just take it as I got drugged and robbed. It sucks (i know) but it also allows you to blow off some steam while gearing back up. I've nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Yeh, except this isn't it. I make sure to ONLY join servers that are running 1.7.2.5 (My current version) and it still spawns me back at the coast.

Whenever i get stuck on a loading screen, regardless of server age, beta or version, there is a chance i will end up at the coast. Not always, but it does happen. Up until recently, i retained all my gear when this happened. Yesterday was a different story. Apparently i joined one of my regular servers as it restarted or crashed, sticking me at the infinite loading screen. I used task manager to shut the game down, waited a few and logged back in. It put me in the "Wilderness", and a message that i was killed popped up in the lower left corner. No biggie, this too has happened before. So i log out, then log back in and sure enough, im on the coast at Kemenka, only this time i have nothing but my Ghillie suit.

Had i not been preparing a few tents over the last month i would have been pissed to no end. Took a couple of hours but im 90% where i was before. Now to restock my tents (yes im a purist and save them on exit).
