Wont play DayZ, maybe because its not over Steam?

Hello out there... I need some help to this, and i am new at DayZ...

I Have Arma2, but i didnt bought i over Steam. And i have all the packs that you need to play DayZ. (Bought it over Steam, the packs)

I just wont go in to any DayZ severs. It sucks! I have used this tutorial:

Please help me, and im open for a game if it will work! ;-)

run both Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA to the menus and then back out but make your your at the menu then go to dayzmod.com and download six launcher then run six launcher after downloading it and try joining a server. if that doesn't work PM ME
