Does barrett replace the backpack?

Ive just killed a team of 2 uber-bandits with my old winchester got my first NV, GPS and my first Barrett from them.

But hey, does it replace the backpack??

No, it goes into it. Might be too big for the starter back pack, not sure though.

No, it does not replace your backpack, either take it as your primary or put it in your backpack (weapon takes up 10 slots).

You need 10 slots in backpack to put gun in it. If you do not have 10 slots it will destroy the gun. hand gun takes 5 slots hope this helps.

Naay, I mean when I equip M107, my backpack falls on the ground. When I equip my backpack - I drop M107. And both of that guys didnt have a backpack. WTF?

Nope, in DayZ the m107 doesn't take up both shoulder slots.

For people that don't know, many sniper rifles and machine guns take up both slots in vanilla ArmA2. In Day Z these weapons have been buffed.

Pretty sure that is a hacked in M107 i had that happen once when i looted a M107 out of a tent, i lost my backpack when i equipped it, but when i took one i already had in my own tents it worked just fine.

It's likely those specific m107's were spawned in by a hacker, we found a vehicle with a bunch of hackeds gun (most didn't actually exist in DayZ ) but the ones that were did the same thing, M249 SAW in my case.

The only weapon that is supposed to take your backpack slot is the m136 rocket launcher.
