Sounds like the annual "Burning Island" Festival. Its where a bunch of artists get together and... Wait. No that doesn't exist.

Yeah probably hackers. Id log out before you are teleported there.

I dont think that is caused by hackers. Whenever a helicopter crashes, it does that. Happened to my team when my pilot accidentally ejected... Huge fire everywhere.

Player found UH-1 spawn on island, player repaired UH-1, player refuled UH-1, player had no idea how to fly UH-1, player crashed UH-1. It's a known bug with crashed aircrafts, the flames from the wreck sometimes appear overdimensionalized to some players.
