Which setting directly effects player models?

Recommended Posts

Which setting from the video options directly effects player models. I want to see players as far away as possible so I get the drop on them first. I think it is the option called object detail.

I don't get your signature then: "keep your enemies closer"? I thought you wanted drop the far away? :)

The view distance is the only one that allows you to see them further but the setting is locked on the server.

Remove the shadows, lower the terrain and object detail so the enemies are easier to spot in the less complex scenery. It helps a tiny bit but looks generally awful.

So no, there's no setting to make player models flashing pink elephants. All you need is practise.

Was on a server the other day and when my friend went over around 200m his model disappeared completely, was wondering why... Thank you.

It's object detail. For example, sometimes you can only see animals and players only when you zoom in. This is because you have set object detail low. Set it higher, and you will be able to see small objects from far away without having to explicitly hold down the right mouse button.
