Helicopter D-Spawns every time the server restarts.

So we have this heli on a server that restarts twice a day. i have 2 copies of the game with 2 characters, we logged back in and our chopper was gone. I logged in with my other guy and its back at the original spawn point...this has happened 4 times in 2 days.....any idea why or how it can be fixed? is this just a glitch?

I have no idea - the same thing is happening to us. Its not just the chopper though, EVERY single vehicle rolls back to where they were. Its really starting to piss us off :/

I'm so glad this is happening to you. So stupid for people to get all the vehicles and just horde them miles away. They don't even use them half the time what is the point? Let everyone have a fair chance at getting vehicles. I'm playing the game 2 weeks and have yet to find one.

I dont quite see how having a bus, a van, a motorbike and a Heli is hoarding, but ok. Regardless, that isnt what is being discussed here, the vehicles being rolled back IS. So please, if you have nothing USEFUL to contribute, dont.

The Heli on our server is also respawning and at the same spot. It respawns in the same location, but always seems to need different items to get it going. All other vehicles are fine, but we are also noticing sandbags and barb wire are disappearing too.

That has been happening on my server as well. Seems to be a patch bug. We've tried two trucks and the heli but they all respawn on restarts.

Also we have noticed on several servers, tents won't save any more new stuff in them. Had a great raid with a car through a bunch of towns and brought back tons of food water and med supplies, but none of the stuff we put in tents, or left in the car have saved.

It has persisted through several betas in 1.7.2.5

This is happening to my server as well (US866).

After scrounging through the RPT file for the server, I notice that the issue seems to be with all objects with an ID that is too high.

A normal RPT log event looks like this:

10:30:02 "HIVE: WRITE: "CHILD:305:573965:[139,[7366.38,12252.1,0.0183868]]:1:""

Where the 573965 number is the id of the object that is passed back to the Hive. Objects (vehicles and tents) that do not save seem to have ids that look like so:

10:30:02 "HIVE: WRITE: "CHILD:305:5739+e006:[139,[7366.38,12252.1,0.0183868]]:1:""

Notice that the id is too big - and the script seems to exponent it. Obviously, a database (in this case mySql) would not respect it. All of our older vehicles with smaller integers are saving fine.

Not saying this is the problem - just my educated guess that this is related.

First off, two weeks isn't going to get you shit.

Quit crying and go raid someones base that happens to have one. If you look hard enough you'll find one somewhere. You're not going to come across one of the most rare things in the game by chance in two weeks. They only spawn every seven days.

After a server restart last night after HUGE desync issues, things seem to have fixed themselves. Will let you know after next restart.

Maybe you should rent a server or play better. I have found plenty of vehicles And shot lots of people for them. But no its not good it means the game is unstable and will never work right. this even happens with tents.

If you are running 1.7.2.5 vehicles WILL NOT save properly. Revert back to 1.7.2.4 and tents and vehicles will save right. I have had 0 problems since we reverted back.

All of our tents and vehicles save just fine now.
