Ped 80 Posted August 15, 2012 (edited) Six Launcher does not support 1.7.2.5 as it was a weekend patch Rocket threw together. Consider it a pre-release. When it is 'stable' or rather when Rocket is happy with the code, he will have Six Launcher release the patch to the public. Of course the pre-release code is available to the public already as probably 70% of servers are now using it. So, you have the option of using another launcher, DayCommander I think is the name of one which seems popular. Or you can manually download the files and install them then use the Arma2:OA multiplayer options.---edit---Just noticed you said you already tried manual installation. The reason this failed is, again Six Launcher doesn't support 1.7.2.5 so when you launched it, it overwrote the files with version 1.7.2.4 Edited August 15, 2012 by Ped

jabbajaws77 1 Posted August 15, 2012 I use six launcher and am on 1.7.2.5The trick is to upload the manual files and copy them to the addons sectionC:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\@DayZ\addons - On my pcThen run six launcher but DO NOT click on verify or launch on the left sideJust double click on a server and the game will launch then hit esc which will take you to the multiplayer menuLook at the bottom right and it should all be good 1.7.2.5Just remember not to click verify or launch in six launcher as this will overwrite back to 1.7.2.4Hope this helps

banshee 6 Posted August 16, 2012 Rocket explicitly asked to NOT serve 1.7.2.5.That's why we don't serve it trough SIX Launcher. However within Play with SIX, our new tool, you can choose to update to experimental patches like 1.7.2.5http://play.withsix.com go and check it out. :)
