Add ultimate objective/end game?

So you are in this zombie infested piece of land forced to survive day after day then what? What is the big objective?

You want to get out, right, go somewhere where there is no infection....but how?

Simples. Put a Hercules on the NW airfield that needs to be repaired. Make repair parts rare. Make it take tons of fuel before it can take off. make it hard, but the ultimate goal you get a bunch of people to escape Cherno!

This could be the end of the game or you just fly to another map and start over there. Do you see how fucking awesome this could get?

This mod is already pretty much anti-game. Besides as you are to board the plane you can have armies of Zeds attacking you stopping you from getting away. Or as I said you can simply unlock another huge map set in Middle East or something where you have to repair ship to escape to yet another map etc etc.

no the phat loot should be placed in waaaaay hostile zones that prevents server hoping and camping. going to a military outpost to farm m4a1 silenced should be a 10 percent chance of survival ordeal.

this game is all about loot, greed and danger. add more danger = more risk = more fun

going into high value loot zone should be like 10 people go in and only 1 come out

I wouldn't like an end-game so to speak, but I would like some places to be filled to the brim with zeds and some rarer loot - people seem to pretty much get all the best stuff within 20 hours on a single character... I want myself an A-10.

The only objective is Survival.......

DayZ is about experiences you have....the times you pulled off the impossible...the moments where you made friends....and faced off with hostile players in a city....finding water..food....planning out your next adventure with friends or other newly found survivors.....The moments were you see friends fall to gun fire or zombies as you face the the fact that you are not getting out of this alive...as zombies climb up after you as you hear the sound of the gun being empty....

....This is why you play DayZ....

Just like in real life it's not what we decide to pick as a job or if we make that million dollars... its the moments small and big that happen during our life that makes it worth it..the experience..good and bad....and they shape us in who we are ..in the End it's our life moments that can never be taken away and ....with DayZ..players feel these moments with each time they play..each life in the game is a small story..some are long and some are cut short...but each capture that feeling of adventure...excitement as well as uncertainty....

I get what you are saying, but how is taking plane out of Cherno is not survival? Mybe I wasn't clear, but to do that will require a lot of teamwork and as lone wolf you most likely will never make it. It will require a coordinated effort to survive while getting all the necessary bits and pieces in order to fix the plane.

Has anyone watched flight of the Phoenix? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0377062/ Fixing the plane is an option. By all means don't fix it, play just survival game, no one stops you. I just don't understand the negativity. The game is new but after you know Cherno like the back of your hand people will want more.

Maybe I'm just too enthusiastic about its potential.

When I first began to play DayZ I didn't like/hated the idea of having a objective or an end, other then death. I loved to run around the cities/towns/landscapes and explore. I started to play when 1.5.6 was released. After a while it gets kind of dull. And I haven't found all the "good" stuff, machine-guns, vehicles, tent etc. I'm kind of an "rpg-geek" and like to PLAY the game, not to run around collecting the best shit.

A possible objective that I would like to see is a rescue. A reason to stay alive. I don't find that reason now. I don't know if Rocket and The Devs is planning any kind of backstory or something. But lets say, 1-2-3 times a week any day any time. A rescue helicopter or a boat down the coast arrives at random spots. If you spot the vehicle (or hear it's call on the com-radio, if it's going to be implemented) run to it, it will just stay for 5 min or so. If you make it, end, or if you'd like to stay to evacuate with your friend, then stay and wait for him. You hit a high score table or something, THE list of survivors.

Maybe I don't like my own idea tomorrow or till the next patch, just a thought.
