HELP! My DayZ refuses to work...

Hi there. So basically, I've had DayZ for aaaaaages. But sadly, I played it once and then never came back.

I've decided to play it again, and to my sadness I am having loads of trouble.

Firstly, my Operation Arrowhead refused to launch because of an "Invalid CD Key" (I have it installed through steam, lol!?)

Secondly, my game refused to launch giving me some bug with graphics. I've now overcome these two errors, and I'm having trouble actually getting into a game now.

I have purchased the steam version of the game.

From what I know, I am not running any 'beta' patch.

I am launching the mod through sixLauncher.

The error I'm having is, when I connect to a server, I say join, go through the player list and stuff as usual.

Then, I'm given the notification "Waiting for a character to create". After that is done, my game freezes with this:

No matter how long I leave it for, what server I join, or how every many times I uninstall it it still does this.

My PC Specs (NOTE! I have played DayZ before. So It's obviously not something to do with graphical errors, plus my PC is a beast.)

- Intel Core i7-2600k CPU @ 3.4GHz (8 gb RAM)

- AMD Radeon HD 6900 series x2

- That's all you need I'm sure

I'm running this on windows.

I have seen similar threads to this (from like, MAY...) and a simple reinstall worked for all of them.

Any help would be great, as I'm really bored and want to play...

(PS: I'm not sure if it's related, but every server I join it always says (this is sixlauncher) "This server is running an older version. Join anyway?")

One last thing. Another article had this problem, and they said that they manually updated to 1.7.2.5 or whatever, since sixlauncher is still on version 1.7.2.4.

However, when I do this, it just says "Bad version, server rejected bla bla"...so that solution isn't working for me.

You are most likely trying to join servers running 1.7.2.5 when you are running 1.7.2.4

Six launcher has not updated yet, use Dayzcommander or join 1.7.2.4 servers only as six will automatically overwrite your files with 1.7.2.4

Nah but the thing is, even before I HAD sixlauncher I got the result "Bad version, server rejected...".

And I noticed the server actually had 1.7.2.5 written in the description, which baffled me.

Then I tried sixlauncher, and I managed to get INTO the server, but not actually play (the endless loading screen...).
