ThelanstaR 0 Posted August 13, 2012 I recently got a whole new computer and i was always intrested in this game and wanted to play but my old computer was really crappy and didn't really have the parts to run Day Z any higher then 10fps. I can't really remember what was in that old computer but i do remember it had something like a 350W PSU along with a 3200 built in the motherboard Radeon HD video card. I upgraded my computer and i just tried to play today and at one point my fps was even worse than my old computer, which makes no sense to me.Spec:AMD FX-4100 Quad-Core Processor 3.60 GHz8gb corsair ram DDR3NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti with 2gb of ram on it.ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUS Socket AM3+ 760G mATX (Motherboard)Anyone have any suggestions? optionism 28 Posted August 13, 2012 maybe adjust some settings in Video Options?Not sure, cause I have heard about this alot.You can run a checkup on your computer to see if it's capable of running ArmA 2/ArmA 2 OA at:http://www.canyourunit.comjust enter the game's name, and it will determine if your pc can run this game. tced 45 Posted August 14, 2012 (edited) sad to say that Arma2's optimizations was bad from the get go as for as FPS was concerned, always has been an issue even with high end systems, so it's not just yours, it's a global issue with the game itself. you can optimize some of your ingame gfx settings to help bring up the fps, there are also some other tweaks & tricks to get a few more fps, but for the most part it will never run as fast as say BF3 or other games as the code itself is not optimized properly. Hope they finally fix this in Arma 3.also check your HD... an SSD is best for Arma2 as it draws from the game files while playing.
