DarkwaveDomina 1099 Posted August 13, 2012 (edited) You just ran twelve kilometres, of course he's hungry and thirsty. :PEdit: I also believe the temperature is in Fahrenheit. 42 F = 5.5 C, which is probably nice weather in eastern Europe depending on the time of year, and 20 F = -6.6 C. DarkwaveDomina 1099 Posted August 13, 2012 Why would everything be metric and the temperature is Fahrenheit?Who knows, but 42 C would be seriously roasting and like the OP says 20 C wouldn't give you the flu.If you use F the numbers it used to display on the debug monitor actually seem to make sense. Thanks. That's why I said "depending on the time of year", shit for brains. If you read the fucking post before you crawl up someone's arse you might not look retarded. We don't know what time of year DayZ takes place in.Also, if you're going to accuse someone of talking out of their arse, don't do it with the same mistake you just accused them of making. Lennsik 176 Posted August 13, 2012 Your temperature in the game is based on body temperature, not outside temperature. Basic biology dictates that the human body's temperature is VERY picky on just how many degrees you can change from 98.6 F.

Basic biology dictates that the human body's temperature is VERY picky on just how many degrees you can change from 98.6 F.I'm fairly certain it's skin temp not core temp, because if your core temp dropped ten degrees C you would be suffering severe hypothermia. random_stuff 6 Posted August 13, 2012 Lol Arma 2 players are so annoying you can't say any thing about the balance in the game if you want some thing unrealistic they will spam you with hate and if the thing is realistic but will make the game easier they try to convince you that it's actually very unrealistic and you are a CoD scrub... Can you manage occasional bursts of speed at 25 in your daily routine? Are you constantly under threat of death jacking your adrenal system into overdrive leading to much greater calorie consumption? No?Well then shut up.People also don't hunt deer with M67 frag grenades in real life(to the extent of my knowledge anyway). Lennsik 176 Posted August 13, 2012 I think it's somewhere in Core Temp, actually. Seeing as when you hit 36 C, which I think is the lowest temp, you're at 96 F. Which is 2 degrees down, which means you're going to be shaking suddenly and your body will think it's sick.

Which is 2 degrees down, which means you're going to be shaking suddenly and your body will think it's sick. Before they removed the numeric readout I've seen it get as low as 25, which is just stupid. Your character would be shivering uncontrollably, suffering auditory and visual hallucinations, and would be unable to function as a coherent entity. It might be core temp, but the effects aren't accurate (Though I don't imagine working hallucinations into the game would be possible on the current engine). What are you talking about? He's calling it an acceptable break from reality, by equating it with a situation that would be absurd in Real Life but happens frequently in DayZ. Polkaman 60 Posted August 13, 2012 What are you talking about? You were complaining that DayZ was unrealistic, were you not? When I shoot zombies in real life with my PP-19 SD they usually drop in one or two hits as well instead of the unrealisitc 4 in DayZ. needs fix
Smiling Bandit 5 Posted August 13, 2012 (edited) I also believe the temperature is in Fahrenheit. In 1.7.2.5 temperature has no unit. It's in percent. <- Bullshit...It's probably in degree celsius since the standard temperature is given as 36.
