Click on "Advanced" (lower left), find the "Interface size:" selection (center right), set it to "small" or "very small" and restart ARMA. Note that interface sizes other than "normal" might cause trouble with other mods/missions/map/etc.

Can you get banned for using a custom skin?
Smiling Bandit replied to Dariooo's topic in New Player Discussion
If someone uses a custom skin in multiplayer the skin gets distributed to all other clients via the server. Same for custom sounds (I'm not talking about sound mods but the short sound samples you can replay via radio commands). That's also why some servers have a size limitation for these. Other peoples' custom skins and sounds are stored in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA\players (that's on Vista, note that the "\ArmA 2 OA\" part might be different on your computer). -

Hey, that's not a "keyboard". That's a 16 year old IBM Model M! @twinturbonet: The jukebox in my head started playing while I read your sig. Thanks! :)

This is an older image. Sadly, my desk doesn't look this tidy anymore...

plausible "Easter egg" creatures
Smiling Bandit replied to scoffield77@gmail.com's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
The problem is that you cannot really hide things in an ARMA mod. So no matter what kind of easter egg they might add, people will find out within minutes after downloading the new version. Then they'll come here and spill the.. uhm, beans and ruin the surprise for everyone. -
The markers the OP was talking about are called waypoints.

I agree with the second part. Keep it!

The character you play is a fruit cake

In 1.7.2.5 temperature has no unit. It's in percent. <- Bullshit... It's probably in degree celsius since the standard temperature is given as 36. -
Reduce the amount of zombies in remote towns?
Smiling Bandit replied to SerbPrototype's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
There's no such thing as "too many zombies". -

Oh boy. This "backpack ate my gun" issue is one big pain in the ass. So far it has cost my current survivor a M4A1, a M4A1 CCO, two MP5SD6s, a Bizon, a M14 AIM and two DMRs. This thread mentions a bug that might have been part of the problem: -
There are a few simple rules when dealing with the Real Virtuality engine: Never walk over destroyed structures, rocks or "animated things", like players, animals, zombies, etc Never trust ballustrades or handrails Never stay in a vehicle after a crash Never do anything except going up or down while on a ladder etc... I think helpful_bear is right: you died because you were walking over the collapsed building.
