Post Hoc 30 Posted August 13, 2012 (edited) after spawning on the coast 4 times (from switching servers?) i decided to give this game another shot....i pick a server that i intend to stay on (chicago 1455)....10 minutes into playing, the whole server gets spawned into the ocean and dies.I lost everything, my dmr, night vision, gps, rangefinder, ghillie, etc.this game tries my patience. OrLoK 16186 Posted August 13, 2012 Hello thereI'm sorry for your loss of gear, but there are many many posts such as this, could you not have attached your story to one of those? That way the devs would have a decent record of affected numbers as well as keeping all instances in one place. No offence aimed at you. This point is as valid for all those other lone posts.Anyway, as others have pointed out previously, hi pop Servers are a ripe target for script kiddies. Try to avoid em.rgdsLoK
ProB'en 1 Posted August 13, 2012 But playing with ppl MAKES that game, so joining low pop servers is just retarded
gambles 234 Posted August 13, 2012 The sad part is Rocket wanted to enforce servers to have a minimum max pop of what? 40? because the game with the huge map is best played with many others on it aswell. Then you have people advising on forums to stay off high pop servers because of hackers.I have played many a game, many in alpha even more in beta. And countless mods.Hackers are always a pain, but the way this game is and how much you lose and how hard you work....Not only does there apear to be a huge amount of hackers but the impact they have on the game is almost to the point of making it hard for me to recommend the game to others. MDRN Buddha 4 Posted August 13, 2012 If you want to avoid hackers play on low pop. If you want to spend hours earning all your gear only to die randomly by hacker, play on a high pop. I actually prefer lower population servers. And no its because I never want to lose my gear, I have a few friends I play with and we enjoy trying to find the rare loot, killing zombies, or just out goofing around. Why play a game that your going to just get super stressed out over? Kinda takes away from the point of them IMO.
