Forum Webserver performance

Recommended Posts

Hi DayZ Webdev Team,

I just wanted to say that the current performance of the forum is not at it's best. At peaktimes the server often needs more than 7 Seconds to answer the HTTP GET request.

If the DayZ community keeps growing like this you soon have real performance issues at your hands.

I attached are some mesurements I took yesterday with firebug:

Ya I'll concur with this, your load times here are absolutely ridiculous. Is anything being done to remedy this?

Very slow loading times in both my locations, akin to the speed of a chilled turtle.

I know, rocket should never have started this project without a huge amount of money for web hosting so you guys don't have to wait for a page to load.

He could remedy this by not caring about a forum for a mod that will be abandoned when the standalone site comes up.

Now that's preposterous! Chilly is no state for a turtle.

So it's either really slow forums or nothing at all?

I don't believe there is anything wrong with letting the powers that be know that the website is being really slow, especially if it's a fixable problem.
