Trail of Cans.

Tin cans & empty soda cans.

40 members have voted

  1. 1. Should players drop empty tin cans/empty soda cans when they consume food or drink?

    • Yes, this is a good idea.
    • No, this idea is sh*t.

Basically, when you eat or drink, you drop empty tin cans or exmpty soda cans depending on what you eat/drink.

This could be very useful for tracking, and since items dont really cause much lag in the game it wouldent add to any lagg.

This is a very simple and basic idea, I dont think it would be very hard for the Devs to do this, and it would add to the realism in the game and still be fun.

Would probably only be effective for tracking in cities, as on open ground items will usually disappear.

Well it could be handy out in the country side, say.. If you found a few tin cans somewhere near the airfield you know someone is close or has been there.

I'm not saying its going to be very useful, but it's just something simple that we could have in the game.

I was thinking that they should make it so the food/drink turn into empty tin cans, in your bag. So the player can choose to cover up his/her tracks.

You can travel pretty far before needing to drink and eat again so it wouldn't really leave a trail.... maybe a way to tell how fresh the food is or something, so obviously a 5 minute old can will have people lurking nearby!

I have a thread up about this myself, the only difference is that i think that junk junk items should not spawn and are only created when a player consumes a can of food or drink. it then goes into their inventory and they have to drop it manually (creating a fresh "loot pile") and to make up for the lack of junk items spawning, just replace their spawns with bandages, whisky bottles and heat packs (because who the hell is ever short of those?)

Its not a huge advantage, and it could be used in the survivors advantage, such as location a nearby bandit and avoiding them. take note people only need to eat and drink like ever 15mins so it wouldent meen bandits can easily locate survivors.
