How I Got Direct Chat Working

Not sure if this will work for everyone, but personally I prefer direct.

First I binded a PTT key (home) to the direct channel.

Then when you're in game don't switch channels at all EVER! Do not hit , or . at all in game. It's kind of a drag not being able to speak globally and a n00b needs to be laughed at, but sometimes we gotta keep it real.

It won't help if you don't have a mic, but if you have a mic and want to talk in direct, this is what did it for me.

Thats about the experience I've had with it, direct chat works until you've been switching the channels for a while then stops.

Really? I switch channels at all and it stops for me.

I always change channels and I think it sometimes works and sometimes not.

Last time I tried with my buddies and all of us could use it correctly!

It is indeed strange, sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't.

Looking forward to a stable direct chat, it will do sooo much for the MOD!

This trick might work on some servers, idk, but so far when i have joined a server where the DC is working it pretty much works till i disconnect no matter if i change channels or whatnot while playing.

Sorry for the bump, but would it be possible to implement the ACRE 3d voice system somehow?
