Popular and Unpopular Areas

So, this might be a "newbie" question but I do not find the answer to it by searching through the endless amounts of threads in this forum.

Which are the most popular areas and which are the most unpopular areas? This is a specific question and not for answers like airports, grocery stores etc, but more the kind like these: the north western airfield is the high most popular area followed by the balota airstrip and elektro.

I hope for decent answers as I am rather new to these infested lands.

Cherno and Electro are the most populated areas, probably followed by nw airfield, starry, balota

That's somewhat of a tricky question to answer, because "unpopular" areas, by their very nature, tend to attract other survivors in the hopes of finding a secluded area. But if you're looking for a simple black and white answer, smasht_AU sums it up pretty well

Cherno and Elektro - noobvilles

These 3 aren't always populated, but when they are be careful because they are packing military grade weapons:

NWAirfield - alot of high level military drops

Stary Sobor - 8-10 military loot drops (barracks)

Balota Airfield

anyway, basic rule of thumb about the other cities is the farther inland you go, the less people you'll find. There are exceptions of course, such as the airfields, settlements with military tents (Starry. for example) and to a much lesser degree, supermarkets.
