sgt.mazer 2 Posted May 28, 2012 Date/Time: 5/26/12, 5/27/12, 5/28/12What happened: Frames per second drops from 30-60 on connect to 5-12 after a short time.Where you were: Seems more pronounced near big cities, but happens in woods as well. Sometimes jumps back up in woods after visiting city, sometimes not. What you were doing: Trying to play but failing miserably.*Current installed version: 1.0.6.1*Server(s) you were on: Many U.S. servers.*Your system specs: Ati 4890 1gb/ C2D E8400@3ghz /4gb ram/Win 7 64bit*Timeline of events before/after error: ̶1̶.̶5̶.̶8̶.̶2̶ ̶r̶a̶n̶ ̶w̶e̶l̶l̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶m̶e̶.̶ ̶S̶i̶n̶c̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶n̶ ̶e̶a̶c̶h̶ ̶u̶p̶d̶a̶t̶e̶ ̶h̶a̶s̶ ̶h̶a̶d̶ ̶h̶o̶r̶r̶i̶b̶l̶e̶ ̶f̶p̶s̶ ̶p̶e̶r̶f̶o̶r̶m̶a̶n̶c̶e̶.̶ EDIT: After thinking on the issue further, I did experience the lag in 1.5.8.2. It only happened at the end of my play session so I shrugged it off and forgot about it. 1.5.8.2 was my first install of the mod, and I only played it once before the next patch was released.Also... Has anyone experienced this on a 32bit install of windows?

Nate (DayZ) 7 Posted May 28, 2012 Yeah, the exact same is happening to me. I'm getting a noticeable amount of low fps ever since this new patch. I was in Berezino the other day at 10-15 fps when I should have been getting 45-50. Something is definitely up.
Beastbentley 0 Posted May 28, 2012 Same problem hereWhat happened: Spawning Where you were: SpawnpointWhat you were doing: Spawning......Installed version: 1.6.0.1Servers you were on: Switched through a number of servers including most EU servers and UKSystem specs: AMD Phenom II X6 1090t, AMD Radeon HD 6950, 2x4GB DDR3 RAM, win7 ultimate 64, Timeline of events before/after error: Has happened before in version: 1.5.8.2 and worked fine until the current update. castun66 20 Posted May 28, 2012 I've heard many people complaining about this in the server chat, but some people also reporting no change.FPS for me seems slightly lower, I seem to get about 30-40fps, but before it was usually anywhere from 45-60.
CommanderBoiled 1 Posted May 28, 2012 fps is sometimes normal for me and sometimes i have heavy fps drops like many others. many people complain in the chat others say its normal for them. if i restart the game and connect a server then sometimes fps are normal. after i die or change to another server, fps drop to about 10 - so unplayable. thus restarting the game or changing servers sometimes helps to put fps to a normal level but often not. i dont see regularities behind this at the moment.i think iam gonna wait a few days before i try to play dayz again. i spent almost the whole last 2 days to play or, more often, to describe the problems i experienced during that time. all in all i was able to play maybe 2 or 3 hours in the last 2 days either because of "waiting for server response"-stuck, "receiving data"-stuck, heavy fps drops making up a slideshow, or simply just not finding a server with an empty slot left. hopefully the devs find a way to fix at least some of these problems because at the moment its almost impossible to play. even though the servers are still totally overflowing... :D

secretagentman 0 Posted May 28, 2012 I understand rocket said he was looking into these fps issues but I figure I mind as well add my experience if it helps any. My framerate issues aren't serious enough usually for me to stop playing but noticeable from version to version anyway. My specs are AMD Phenom X2 BE 3.2ghz, 4gb Ram, Radeon5850. Normally I'd get 60fps or so in the last version this time it is much less consistent sometimes averaging 30-45 in Elektro/Cherno and at one point for seemingly no reason dropping to 8fps (Just outside Cherno on SLC 1), I ended up switching servers (to NY 1) and things seemed to improve back to 30+ with occasional dips into 10-15. It didn't seem to make a big difference if I was in a large city or forest or what have you. Anyway I've still been playing but it's quite a difference (and adjusting my graphics settings don't seem to help). My friend who is running a system that is around the min spec for Arma 2 and can play multiplayer Arma2 just fine is unplayable in Day Z, I'm sure Day Z is more demanding in general but I'm curious as to whether the fps issues that rocket was mentioning, if fixed, might get him to a playable level of FPS. I think he has an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8ghz, Nvidia Geforce7800 and 2gb of RAM.Anyway looking forward to the next update! Thanks for all the hard work

Shurikenangel 0 Posted May 28, 2012 I do know it is server side. I was hopping servers to see if was the problem and it was. Dal 8 was lagging bad with me getting 20 FPS and then it rebooted right back up to 60.
