About tents.

Recommended Posts

Sometimes they save, sometimes they don't. Does this answer your question? You'll loose stuff with them.

I think there may be something up with the tents since the patch. I ran into 7 camps yesterday and every single tent was empty. May just be a coincidence.

That being said. Some tricks for tents:

1. Find your location

2. Switch to 1st person mode (I've seen a higher success rate)

3. Look at the ground

4. Hit place tent (more than likely you will see the message about being on flat ground, blah blah)

5. move a bit while still in the gear menu and hit place tent again.

6. Repeat step 5 until your tent is setup

7. Once you put your items are in the tent. Hit the "save old tent" option 5+ times to ensure it has saved.

8. Prepare yourself for your tent to be looted, smashed, disappear, be empty, magically duplicate itself, etc, etc.

I always carry my best gear on my character.
