Ghillie still bugged or something else?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone long time reader first time poster but i had to ask someone about this.

me and my friend were playing tonight (i'm australian) and stumbled on some pretty damn good gear. NV goggles, svd camo, rangefinder, gps etc.

anyway ive had a ghillie on the whole night while changing servers logging out etc and except for a random coast spawn that happened to my unghillied friend as well i had no issues. Then all of a sudden i log out and back in to fix that stupid graphics issue and ive lost all my weapons, my pack, all my tools and rangefinder/nv's. I still had all my ammo for secondary and primary slots and my ghillie was still on but everything else gone.

can anyone tell me if this is because of the ghillie or just another random bug?

I've been playing with a ghillie for weeks and have not come across any issues like this. I don't really see how wearing a ghillie could do this, however I've noticed that a lot of people are complaining about randomly spawning on the coast with nothing, so it's probably just a general bug, unrelated to the ghillie.

Hey. It's happened to me alot, if I've logged out too soon, after picking up new gear. Best solution would be to stay ingame for 5-10 minutes after getting the gear to ensure that you still have it upon next login.

(Edit) Come to think of it, I don't know what causes this, except maybe some server lag issues or something. But I've lost more than a rifle or two on logging out too quick after looting it.

its not because of the ghillie dude (as far as i know) but!.. loosing the gear its happened to me in the past.. i can give you some advice that has helped me keep my gear.

when you pick up new gear try not to leave the server straight away! i know people sometimes loot a dead body then freak out and leave server thinking they will be killed and loose the shit. That will make you loose all your stuff pretty much straight away.. or if not all your stuff you looted a few things.

Try to interact with the loot you get like if you pick up NVGs turn them on etc (even if its day time) just so they have been used by your character.

As for the weapons if i feel i will loose them when i abort i usually shoot a few rounds off reload etc and swap over my primary with secondary.

I dont know if this stuff actually works but since i do this sorta stuff i keep all my gear.

hope this helps.

It's because you're a server hopping faggot and did not give your gear time to save.

These people learnt how to use a keyboard?

However, the only bug I've seen was when I put a new Ghillie on tonight and when I went to put my pack back on, it spawned another (empty) one. I guess they've still got a few issues with them to be sorted out in the future.

You really just have to wait a bit for the hive to update. Depending on the server this can range from 5 seconds (good server) to 15 minutes (complete shit server) to a few hours (sticks and mud server).

Count on the 15 minutes because 90% of the servers on this game are complete garbage. Typically you don't have to wait 2 hours because a server THAT broken won't let you log in to begin with (this is where the "mysterious" long loading screens that everyone complains about come from as well).

That said sometimes shit disappears anyway, with no real cause. Make regular sacrifices to the Boar Gods and bad things won't happen to you.

i appreciate the replies but im fairly sure it wasnt due to the server not updating as i said earlier i picked up all the gear about 2 hours before this happened and logged off and on inbetween then, so im guessing we can just write it off as a random bug and i got unlucky :( never even got to use my svd yet
