Make sure that before doing this, that your graphical settings for video memory is set to 'Default', and your texture detail set to 'Low'. Also note that when you press 'left shift' + minus on the numpad that no box for typing appears. Just type flush anyway and the screen will go black and reset.

Will still need to do it in the latest DayZ patch (1.7.2.5), as the graphical glitches still aren't fixed.

I had it fix a few times when I pressed the " - " symbol on the number pad. It doesn't always work, but I'll try you way for sure.
