I just respawned on the coast, losing all my gear. The thing is, I didn't patch up to 1.7.2.5 yet. I'm still running 1.7.2.4. So what exactly is causing this?

Try joining another or two servers; it may have just been that you joined a server that wasn't properly connected to the HIVE.

first of all, make sure you are joining servers that are running the same version as you. You also need to make sure you are not joining a server that has a private hive.

Now the reason people are spawning on the coast......this usually happens when someone gets stuck at loading and exits out. And....people generally get stuck at loading when they're joining a server NOT running the same version as they are.

I spawned on the shore of Electro, and had all my gear + ghillie of course. ;)

No problems for me ever since I'd started months ago!

When you say version, are you talking about the Arma 2 version or the DayZ version?

I joined back on the same server I was playing last night, US 20, without installing or running any patches.
