Muncywolverine 236 Posted August 11, 2012 (edited) Anyone else having this problem?I updated to patch 1.7.5, and now i cannot connect to any older version servers (like my home server). Is there a way to fix this? I'm homesick ._.EDIT: Sorry for double post Edited August 11, 2012 by Muncywolverine
jordy@sigux.com 44 Posted August 11, 2012 There is no patch named 1.7.5And since I know you mean 1.7.2.5 obviously, I can help you by telling that it's pretty obvious you can't connect to an older server version than your client version. Just download the old 1.7.2.4 files again and place them in the @DayZ folder. Ask a friend of yours that still has 1.7.2.4 to send them. :-)
Priceless 154 Posted August 11, 2012 Ur updated to 1.7.2.5 you cant just revert back...you have to delete .5 files and update with old .4 files to go back and join older version servers

I used six updater to install the game, so i don't know where the files are located/what they are etc. Kinda lost :/

Delete the contents of it, and place the old files of a copy of 1.7.2.4 in it and it should work. Six Launcher will force you to update again as far as I'm aware, so that won't even help. That's why I laugh at Six Launcher. Forces you to update, geez. Use DayZ Commander, tells you there's an update, but doesn't tell you you need it to play. ;-)
Lord Fartus 61 Posted August 11, 2012 Yeah, I'm having the exact opposite issue. I loaded into one 1.7.5 server the rest will just sit at the loading screen for an indeterminate amount of time.

deathdealer 1 Posted August 11, 2012 First off I wanna say that... lolz at Brightbull who thinks 6-updater sucks. You can use it to play more than one mod... thats right guys... theres other things than DayZ...Secondly, hes right. Your gonna need to go back to ".4" in order to play. Im currently having the same problem. Been trying to join a older version for like 30 minutes and it just plain wont let me. My suggestion is to just wait it out a day or two. The other servers will surely be patching to this one ASAP, it fixes the glitches almost everyones been having.

amaROenuZ 144 Posted August 11, 2012 SixLauncher still sucks. Sure, you can use it to play things other than DayZ...but DayZCommander is clearly the better choice for joining DayZ servers. And these are the DayZ forums. And he's complaining about an issue with DayZ.

eastonch@gmail.com 4 Posted August 11, 2012 @DeathDealer117 -- Six Updater/Launcher sucks. Irrelevant of what it can do, it doenst do it well. Its program is sloppy and the entire interface just is confusing for anybody to even look at, never mind use in the intended function. I would never use an updater like this, I always use the programs "auto update" feature, or use patch mirrors from reputable sources, 'or my own mirrors' to update. inb4 "six launcher haters"
