DaRT - A Lightweight DayZ (and ArmA) RCon Tool (v2.1 | 11/10/2015)

Recommended Posts

Hi DomiStyle!

Nice update! I think a lot of people (myself included) were hoping for a way to configure the Auto-connect time intervals (currently set to 0.1 seconds 2 times only). I noticed you added an Auto refresh interval setting but I never heard anyone say they wanted that feature. A lot of us have our servers set to auto-restart and with every restart, we have to manually click "Disconnect" and "Connect" to get Dart working again. Is there anything we can do about this?

Currently there is not, but it will be in 0.8.

is there any way to add a lobby auto kick feature with a timer that we can change?

that is the only thing missing from dart to make it perfect. cause right now i am using gotcha just for the lobby kick feature and dart for the rest. lol

I will see.

However, BEC is able to do that too.

How to export the banlist into a txt file on your local pc?

Just upload your bans.txt in the battleye folder to any uploader you wish and download it then.

I have an issue where all/most users start getting kicked whenever I use DaRT, version 0.6. Does this still happen?

Never heard of that problem.

Not that I am aware of.

Definitely is a result of DaRT, as the kicks ONLY happen when DaRT is running. I'll try with v0.7 to see if it goes away. DaRT is my main menas of communictions with users when not in game!

What is the reason they get kicked for?

Tell me if the problem still exists with 0.7.

Note how some of them are within SECONDS of eachother. Does DaRT impose it's own auto-kick on PING limit?

No, I know no reason why this could happen.

Could you try 0.7 and disable "Request players/bans on connect" in the settings as well as Auto refresh?

If it still kicks them could you try BERCon and see if they get kicked too?

I have noticed that even though I have the logging except chat turned off, it is still lagging a bit and sometimes it won't feed what I type in global chat. I have to disconnect and reconnect to clear it out. I am running Gotcha at the same time and wonder if it is somehow getting bogged down by logging even though I am not feeding it.

Can you tell me how much memory/CPU DaRT consumes when it is lagging?

You can easily see it in the task manager.

Good work here.

Is it possible to save the states of columns at restart in next updates, to keep the order of columns ?

I will see what I can do.

It's not dart.. it's gotcha. It floods the RCON console, so *everything* will lags after some time, if you have many users on the server it will start to lag (several minutes chat) few minutes after the restart. If you use any other rcon tool it will like the same, even gotcha itself lags! This is because when you filter the chat in example, you're not filtering the traffic.. you're only filtering the log client side, but all the informations are still sent to your client. The solution? Disable Gotcha.. i did it 2 days ago, and WOW .. what a relief finally (it does nothing against the cheaters so there was no point of having it there flooding the server).

Could you try using this?

http://forum.swisscr.../DaRT_debug.zip

Also check if DaRT is still running after closing it.

I can't really recreate this problem but I would guess it's a access problem with the database since DaRT is unable to dispose the database when closing.

I don't get any issues with this version.

Is DaRT closing properly too?

I had a crash when I attempted to message/whisper a player, but 99% of the time its stable and closes correctly.

The process isn't in tskmgr once closed.

One thing I have started noticing a lot is that the country labels are all over the place.

I've notice players have a different flag to their country label (Players with the GB flag have the FI label, makes no sense).

I connect locally, which might be causing a mix up?

Maybe a flag & label for 192.168.*.* so that DaRT knows who's connected via LAN?

As always, send me the crash log and I will take look at it.

Not sure about the flags. Last time I checked it worked fine but I will take a look again.

A local ip address should show a ? flag.
