Satchel Charge Related Question

So I found a body that had 3 satchel charges on it.. grabbed 'em for myself, of course.

I ended up wanting to place one of them onto the dead body so I could totally rape the next person that comes to loot it..

I ran about 800m up a hill (because that's where I was sniping originally) from the body and when I tried to bring the option up for detonation, I couldn't.

You use the mouse wheel scroll to get to the detonation option, right?

Is there like a certain distance you have to be within in order to detonate the charge? :/

300 meters max range for detonation.

Yeah you can't be too far from the charge(s). It has a range of about 100-150 meters I think.
