Mis-read Day Z Moments

So, has anyone ever had any really tense moments where things went horribly wrong because you judged a situation poorly?

My friend and I had just found a nice Ural. It was one of our first vehicles so we were guarding it with our lives. The only thing it needed was some engine parts and fuel-tank parts. We stopped by a industrial site along the coast to find supplies. As I exited the vehicle... a survivor started running right for the hood of the car. He then brings his hand back, grenade charging to be thrown right through the windshield of our shiny new car. "FLOOR IT!" I scream to my friend. He pushes the accelerator, runs the guy over instantly killing him, and I prepared myself to be blown away.

And thats when the tin can he threw at our car didn't explode.

Awkward!

Me and a friend were in Cherno, and we spot a guy shooting someone. Trying to avoid the conflict, we run around him, but he had the same idea.

Somehow during this, I lose my friend, and instead I bump into the guy we're running away from.

He shoots me, breaks my legs and steals my things. However i'm still alive. I'm telling my friend that "he was at the side of the church".

I manage to get up after a while, and start bandaging myself, my friend says "OH I SEE HIM!".

Shoots me instead.

Oh yes. I was at Berizono [or at least at the hills overwatching it kind of], when I thermalled out a guy with a ghillie. [it was night, by the way, so it was hard to spot him without thermal]. I watched him for a bit and then heard that he had an L85A2 AWS as well as he shot a zombie, and no other gun sounds like that. I then saw another player, and they were with each other. They went to the supermarket to finish off the 20-ish agro that were on them.

I had a DMR, so I could snipe them [i was going to kill them because they had end-game gear and I knew they would kill me if I didn't kill them]. The range was approximately 500m, so I knew I could hit the shot relatively easy.

Only problem was, I didn't know that the glass in the supermarket was bullet proof.

I fired a shot and....CLING! It hit the glass. If the glass wasn't there it would have got the first guy with a headshot. I knew that I had to quickly relocate for he had a DMR, too.

So being the fucking moron I am, instead of going around on the hills, I went around on the side with the lower elevation, which completely fucked me over. So I was in an apartment roof down the road from them and they were on top of the hospital roof [they ran there, obviously]. He started taking shots at me so I had to roll around to dodge them.

Suddenly, the server kicked me off. I tried to re connect and finish them off or die myself so it wouldn't look like that I had ALT+F4ed. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the server.

So that's that.

Okay, so I'm on sniper hill with an empty AKS-74u, and a Makarov pistol. I was watching people run around in electro, and then spotted a guy with an MP5A5. I thought, "Hey, maybe he's friendly, worse case he shoots me and takes my empty gun."

So I take a step forward and get stuck... I look down and see something wiggle around below my feet. A guy in a ghillie suit. I'm pretty sure he logged in, as I hadn't seen him there before, I think I would've noticed the black boots sticking up now. So I aim down at him and pull the trigger, forgetting my gun is empty *click click click*. Either the sound, or him being unable to back up caused him to turn around and spot me. He fired off what sounded like an entire magazine, but my erratic running with him poor aim only managed to land a single round in my back. I got away clear, and ran into a nearby bush, just down the hill on the south side of the hill. Thinking I'm going to ambush him with my Makarov (before the nerf, still sucky weapon but not as pathetic as it is now) I pull it out and start backing up behind a larger bush...

And then I hear someone reload behind me. I turned around and there is another ghillie with a .50 cal (possible M107) aimed at my face. Knowing I might die, and this was my only chance, I pulled the trigger, overjoyed to see the iron sight lining up with his head *click click click*

My pistol was also empty...

Luckily for me, they seen the crappy guns, the patrol pack and the civilian uniform and decided I must have been a newbie, and instead of killing me they robbed me. When they found nothing on me, they told me to run along, and if I turned around they'd kill me.

Poor judgement on their behalf, the guy I killed for the AKS-74u also had a grenade. I managed to get it off, but I'm unsure if the grenade even killed one of them. I came back to find my dead body, nothing missing, and them gone.

i was on a hill waiting for a friend.He told me he was coming from cherno,and he had camo clothing on..After a while i got eyes on a sniper,prone next to me,totaly NOT aware of me being there.He had ghillie on,and i thought he was my friend.He shoots and right after that i greeted him..I check the log and i see my friends name pop up as he got killed..next thing know,my name was under his :P I could easily kill the sniper,i was next to him and i could even hit him with my hatchet!But i was soooo sure that he was my friend :P
