3 hacked games wtf is this garbage?

i just purchased Arma and Arma operation arrowhead on saturday. have never played either one, but I mainly got it for dayz after hearing about it.

I have perhaps played 3 times, slowly learning the controls. trying to figure things out on my own. within 2 hours of playing everytime, i get randomly teleported to a bunch of people shooting, I have not even managed to find a gun yet. so i either die from gunshot wounds or succesfully runaway only to somehow get a broken leg or teleported into the sky.

they only plus side I have seen is i saw someone get global banned by battle eye. 2 others get kicked and the whole room get kicked me included.

how am I supposed to learn this game, when crap like this keeps happening. im really not trying to find spoilers about the game, or a online map. want to play this how it's meant to be played for a new player but as somebody who is very busy working. I don't have that much free time. but in order to save sometime im about ready to start looking for spoilers. i don't want to as i enjoy the scavenging aspect of the game, but i can' only restart so many times with the few hours i have per day

Battle-eye has done a good job lately banning a lot of the script kiddies, just hang in there for a while and stay away from extremely popular servers until you get a weapon since the scripters like to hang around in high pop servers.

I just bought ARMA2 for 30 dollars for the sole reason of playing Dayz, and for almost 2 and a half hours Ive been in three different games and each one ends with being telported into the air and falling to ym death or teleported underwater to drown or somehow die from it. With over 1 million players and planning to become tis own game youd think devs would be on top of hacking. Really freaking pist I wasted my money for this trash now. Why should i even play Day Z?????????????????

First off learn the game by playing single player ARMA2 the game you bought and not learn in the mod that comes with it. You will thank me later.

Should have done some research before purchasing, it can't be fixed until standalone which is a few months away and you will need to buy that itself

I disagree. I HATED learning Arma2, after playing DayZ, Arma2 becomes WAY more approachable. DayZ is a dumb-down mod.

just wondering are there any groups and or servers that like doing in character role playing. also how do you invite someone to your group? I figured out how to change chat channels with . but it seems like a global chat is not used on most servers.

Way to jump on the let's scream it's an Alpha mod DUH! Band wagon.

The fact is this is a really weak thing to say at this current stage, with such huge popularity and publicity among the PC gaming community that people ARE NOT buying Arma 2 they ARE buying Dayz that fact it's a free mod is a fact but not a very relevant one, over a million players I am willing to bet 95% parted with their cash to play DayZ.

It's the same for me I bought Dayz not Arma2. But I can appreciate Dayz was built around Arma2 and is a free mod based around a trust engine mil sim so will have weaknesses against scripters.

Guess you didnt read the mod was in alpha when you planned on playing it huh? next time do some reading before buying something and then bitch about it because it doesnt work the way you want it to in the development stage of it.

Hes bitching about the hackers and not being able to learn the game because of them in ARMA2 there are no hackers they are all in Dayz its not about whats more approachable its about which version has less hackers to deal with please read OP before commenting.

There is no such thing as a good hacker experience, I,ve meet some more pleasant cheaters who have not killed me on site and have offered me all the shit I want, but probably when their meds wear off they'll be turning you into goats or thunder dooming the server.

The brutal fact is, cheaters/hackers do not hack because they suck at a game most cheat/hack to degrade the experience for us all, they get immense satisfaction from trolling the community I guarantee that most cheaters/hackers are here registered, post and read all our comments, they feed off us. It's one of the reasons I,ll never vent my anger in public because they love it so why let them win on the forums too!

1.The whole sandbox game encourages roleplay...ie play the game how YOU want

Play on low populated servers OP and have your alt f4 keys at the ready as you never know when you may be suddenly teleported to a killing field for instance.

Well thats your own fault, besides its not even a waste, have you even tried playing ARMA by its self? Its actually quite fun. Also to your original post its hard to get on top of the hackers because 1 million people play DayZ! The ARMA engine wasn't meant for a zombie survival plus its only a MOD, its not going to be the securest thing on the earth when so many people play it.

Play off peak times and go on servers with 5-10 players, this should mean less hacking. Stay out of Cherno, stary sobor and elektro and u should be able to really gain some experience. Also play on night servers until u can be stealthy.

I had NO hackers yet. I've been playing for about 2 weeks now and died about 3 times.

Maybe it's just bad luck you guys seem to have? I play on EU servers because of the favourable pingtimes, but I read a lot of agony here about people being hacked constantly. WTF is up with that?
