I'm new to DayZ. I downloaded newest version from official website, install and joined a JP(Japan) server which is lowest ping for me, then I got a option, picked female and then I got a message that I have wrong version of code (Client:1.7.0 Server:1.6.0.1), when I finally join a right server (US one with 1.7.0), I spawned as a male:huh:

Date/Time:06/09/2012 around 23:00 plus 1~2 hours (my first play)

What happened: Gender option failed to work after choosing to be a "female" :idea:

Where you were: Grassland near a industry building, or between two versions?

What you were doing: Click and join a sever

*Current installed version: 1.7.0.0

*Server(s) you were on: JP1 / US (not sure which one)

*Your system specs: Q6600/GTX280/4GB RAM/VISTA 64Bits

*Timeline of events before/after error:

1.Downloaded newest(and only) version from official website (1.7.0)

2.Just finished installing of ARMA II, OA, PMC, BAF, and DayZ(1.7.0)

3.Joined JP1 server and picked "Female" in gender option

4.Server showed I'm with wrong Code file of version (that message is very transparents that I spent some time to understand)

5.After few "Retrying to Authenticate" and finally joined US server(1.7.0) and spawned as a male

After some death still spawn as a male:angel:

I also tried to run 1.6.0.1 to join JP1, still spawn with a male skin :-/

Same here, but I came in 1.7.0 after a break caused by a melted GPU. I chose to have a female skin, stayed as male... It was on Seattle 8 IIRC, on Saturday 9, somewhere in the european afternoon.

Just wanted to drop in and say that I've had the same issue.

I just installed the game two days ago using Six Launcher, so I have version 1.7.0. I started playing on Sunday night, selected female when I was prompted, and have been playing a male character ever since.

While I don't consider it to be a huge deal, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that had this problem and hope to see it fixed soon.

Throwing my two cents into the pile as well, chose female then spawned in debug forest. I then reconnected to a new server and spawned with the male skin....

Wow. They didn't say that anywhere on here by the looks. That's really annoying :<

I already miss my Female skin and I've not even played with the male skin yet...

I got that e-mail as well. It sounds like once they re-enable it it will either just remember your choice from before, or give the choice to all players again and it will be bug free. So either way it should be fine.
