What happened to night time?

I recently really started noticing that it's always moonlight on any server. It's so light I don't even need my NVG anymore. What the hell happened to it?

I want my pitch black dark back so I actually have some advantage with NVG (it's high end gear, get over it).

I noticed it too. I believe it's about moon cycles. We'll probably get dark nights within two weeks.

Dont raise your gamma and you'll need to use your nv googles.

I've also noticed this. Nighttime during my first few weeks was nearly pitch black. Lately, though, the nights have been so bright that, if anything, it's been easier to play. My vision is no worse, yet the zombies are nearly blind.
