I am not sure of anything, so do not take my word for it.

But I recon if battleeye somehow has checks to see if you can see through a tree, good chance it wont look differently to BE if you have some awesome Ghost skin, or capable of looking through tree's and having highlighted other peoples skin.

I use a camo face and Delta goggles which looks pretty cool. All the files are already located within Arma OA so know that this is legit. I would like to know other ways to create or use a custom skin that is viewable by all and is legit though.

I'm sure you can get away with some skins, especially if they are already in the game. One thing I am also sure of is that I have seen multiple BE bans go out in the last few days to custom skins. Do it at your own peril.

I know my way is legit because I checked first. I've seen that some people use third party software to create custom skins but I'm not sure I'd want to risk it unless it was officially given the all clear.

Hello there

Customs skins are legit and are not bannable.

However, many servers do not allow them to be used or severely restrict their file size.

Check the Bis forums or arma wiki on all the info you need.

this is the correct answer. server side settings may restrict your ability to have a custom face.jpg or they might also restrict the size. so you run the risk of the server not letting you connect due to having a custom skin, and you also run the risk of having the server not letting you connect because your custom skin is too large.

but yeah, other than that, its legit.
