electricity generators?

Think it would be good if electricity generators could be included, requiring fuel like vehicles and possibly needing a vehicle to move them as a heavy object...

could be used to power lighting at camps, not great for your lone player but those with large organised camps could have spotlights around the perimeter for night time security at the expense of being a glowing beacon :)

also having watched the arma 3 demos im hoping diving equipment will be included in the standalone dayz!

Generators are already in the mod...extremely rare and serves no purpose

Technically I think there is a portable generator in the DayZ files. Someone found one a while back. There's been many threads about this already and I'm sure it's something they'll work on for the standalone game.

survivors probably arent trained to fly helicopters either, i reckon i could probably work out diving underwater easier than i could learn to fly a helicopter.... not sure that is a very valid argument

hadnt searched through all the threads so didnt realise this had been brought up before although it was quite likely. i hope they do implement generators, they could have a number of uses

I imagine generators will be put in when the structure building mechanic is implemented. But when that will be and in what form is unknown.

As mentioned above Rocket already put generators in saying they would initially be used to power petrol pumps if I remember correctly but they were never finished.
