When I use the say command to a certain player, is there anyway I can see a response?

They will have to respond back in Direct Comms for you to see it

Never hosted a server / used RCON, but I believe you can see any and all chat messages through the RCON interface. So as long as they say something in any channel, you'll see it in the chat area.

I tested it and the person saw me say it, but I could not see the response.

If you are in RCon like BERcon and do say -1 hello

the user will need to be sure that they are responding in Direct comms and you should see it pop up. I have done it multiple times.

If you want to message a specific player you can do say player# message and they will have to respond in direct comms
