Getting New PC, Keeping My Gear?

Hi,

I'll be installing DayZ on my new PC tomorrow and would like to save/backup/transfer my character/gear/account. Any way to do it or do I have to start from scratch?

No, your gear will stay assuming you use the same key/steam account

I don't know, i think your gear is attached to your PC. Unless you keep the PC case, you will loose everyting. I would buy a new PC, but just in case, i would keep the old one around for a few days !!! Dayz is some weird shit, and don't get me started on the fuckin gr**n mout**n !!!

You will have to reset your local stuff like key mappings.

Your gear is stored to your CD key, and not stored locally at all. Like the guy above stated, as long as you're using the same CD key you'll be fine.
